My Story
Senior majoring in Public Relations at the University of Florida. Mom of 3 boys. Married 13 years.
Inspired by my time in West Africa to go on a new adventure to finish my degree at UF during an unexpected stage of life. However, I’m very grateful for the opportunity to challenge myself, learn and grow.
I’ve developed my skills and love for teaching children and adults: 10 years as a children’s Elementary Sunday school teacher, 3 years homeschooling my own son, and an 8-week Social & Emotional Learning program for 3rd graders. I’ve also taught more than 50 native women leaders in West Africa the topics of Advocacy, Leadership and Micro-Business.
As a natural leader, I enjoy taking charge, but not running people over. I’m energized when I help empower people to do and be their best.
When you live enough life you know it throws some curve balls and things don’t always go as planned. I persevere for excellence, but am learning from my failures: “Try, fail, adjust.”
I love visiting the mountains, but cherish living by the beach; soaking up the sun, splashing in the waves or catching sea critters. When the beach isn’t an option, nothing soothes the soul like a cup of tea and long chat with my best friend.
